To Kill A Mockingbird

When I first heard we were going to read this book I was really excited. I had heard so many good reviews, and I couldn't wait to be able to read it for myself! I don't know about you guys, but just from the first page, I knew I was going to like the book. Do any of you guys like it?
I thought the movie was really good. The only problem with watching the movie before reading the book, is that now I can't picture the scenes of the book for myself. What did you guys think when Scout's teacher got onto her for being able to read? I thought it was kinda weird, since now kids are learning how to read in Kindergarten instead of Thrid Grade.
