The Picture Perfect Day
So how was your week? I hope that it went well and that your weekend is going great!! Since we have been talking about our poems I decided to put my poem on the blog...even thought it is not very good. So here goes...
THE PICTURE PERFECT DAY
What a beautiful mid-April day it would turn out to be.
We had no idea of the memories that would be captured by that little red
camera that day.
So many things stand out in my memory still today.
We had decided to get together during spring break so we could hang-out and
make shirts for fun.
The paint stains that remained on our hands, for at least a week, helped
imprint in our memories these good times that we shared.
We were in my friends backyard but we were not the only ones.
We shared the company of both her dog and her cat.
The soft, green grass felt good between my toes and was just as warm as the
sun that day.
Hearing the ipod blasting Glamorous, reminded me of a fog horn, loud and
possibly annoying.
The music soon gave us the strong urge to dance, so we did.
The smell of freshly baked Tollhouse cookies filled the air all around us.
The wind was blowing the perfect breeze.
Sitting in the grass, getting ready for the camera to take the picture.
After saying "cheese", we looked at the photo and knew immediately that we loved it.
Hearing her mom calling us in to lunch, made us realize just ho much time we
had already spent.
That wonderful day showed us just how valuable and important friends truly are.
So... What do you think? Reading some of your poetry made me second guess putting mine on the blog. Do any of you have any suggestions for me? If you do, don't be afraid to share (as long as their positive)
