This Would be an Old man that lived in Alabama during the Depression, since we are currently reading to Kill a Mocking Bird and in class we visted the governments picture archives I decided to pick a picture of a person that lived in Alabama during the depression because that is where To Kill a Mocking Bird takes place. I picked this picture completely at random and when I first saw this picture I wasnt shocked, but I was suprised. His face tells the whole story, he looks like he hates life, and I wouldn't blame him. Look at where he lives, this little shack house with crappy walls with holes in them along with cracks everywhere, I would hate life to, but saying all that I also see a slight glimpse of hope that something amazing is going to happen to him and somehow and someway he is going to get through it. I call it the look of dertemination. Looking back into history I finally realized how hard life during these times were.

See, you say that it looks like he hates life but I really don't see that. I see someone who's frustrated with life, such as the depression, and is struggling to find a way to deal with it all. I can see why you think he's angry, but I see frustration and almost a look of despiration before I see anger. This is a really cool photo.
Clever title.
