Reedeeming Love

My recent book "Redeeming Love," takes place in California's gold country in 1850. It was a time when men sold their souls for a bag of gold and women sold themselves for a place to sleep. As a child, Angel is sold into prostitution. She learns the harsh reality of betrayal and abuse right from the start. One night she does not fulfill her duties and is badly abused to the point of unconsciousness. The next day, instead of awaking in the city, she awakes in a quaint little house on the countryside. When she looks around she sees a man. He tells her his name is Michael Hosea, and he rescued her from the man abusing her. He then asks for her hand in marriage, and tells her that he MUST marry her because he was told to! This seems like a fairytale......or is it? Who is he really, and why did he promptly ask to marry her? Is this all too good to be true? I guess I will have to read on to see! What do you think?

That does sound like a good book. I'm sure that those things really happened back then and that's what makes those kinds of stories really sad and depressing. Hope that you enjoy it. Keep us posted!!

Thanks! I saw the picture and besides realizing how scary it would be to hide in a hole to stay alive, I thought about what it would be like to have to do that every day. I think that's something that people here don't think about to often if not at all. We live in a country where we don't have to worry about hiding from bullets or bombs everyday.
