"Pistol Pete"

I just started reading a book on one of the greatest and most exciting basketball players of all time, Pete Maravich. Maravich made a name for himself by his flashy passing and amazing dribbling feats. He dazzled audiences at a very young age ( even before high school). He remains a role model for many fans even after his sudden death in 1988. He was considered on of the best shooters of all time with his amzing long range shot. He practiced dribbling basketball while even in the car and dribbling outside the car window. He averaged over 40 points a game during his college years and is by far the all-time leading NCAA Men's basketball scorer. He is a role model to me because he wasn't blessed physically and had to spend many hours working to become great at what he did. That is why he was so great, his work ethic. If all people worked as hard as he did at basketball then there wouldn't be so many problems in the world today. Just goes to show you what a little hard work and "elbow grease" can get you. Here is a site where you can learn more about the life of Pete Maravich http://www.pistolpete23.com/
