The Trial

When i say this i'm sure that i'm not alone but the trial makes me so mad and frustrated. It really shows just how racist and hard headed the people on the jury are. Well the south in general. It seems so obvious that Tom Robinson is innocent and that the only reason that he is on trial is because he's black. Also when Mayella didn't respond to Atticus's question about who beat her up. It seems to me that everyone is against Tom just because he is black. Even though Mayells is in a tough position she should still do the right thing and tell the truth. An innocent man going to jail is a terrible thing. Andi think that if Mayella doesn't tell the truth and has Tom sent to jail, her consious when haunt her for the rest of her life. I just hope that she does the right thing. Ms. James is right, this book starts getting good at the trail.

I totally agree with you. I don't understand why the nation back then was so racist. I bugs the crap out of me. If everyone just treated each other equally imagine how the world would be.

I also agree with you. I think that is completely unfair that Tom is getting an unfair trial just because he is black. He deserves the same treatment as any other defendant in court.

I think the world is corrupt if they would rather put a innocent black man in jail rather than a white man that beats/rapes his daughter. It is disgusting.
