I am really enjoying To Kill a Mockingbird at the moment. I thought this was going to be a bad book, because I really don't like historical fiction. But this really stands out to me as tremendous literatue. I really like the part when Scout grinds Walter's nose into the ground. What is your favorite part.? Also, in the movie version of the story, Gregory Peck plays Atticus Finch.. But when I read the book I actually imagine Jimmy Stewart(George Bailey Jimmy Stewart). What do you guys think?

George Bailey gives me the mental image of Atticus Finch, but I just can't get past Baile'y running down the street yelling, Merry Christmas, movie house! Merry Christmas, Emporium! Merry Christmas, you wonderful old Building and Loan!" That just doesn't seem like something Atticus would do. But other than that, I do see Atticus Finch looking like George Bailey.
