Little Kids

Wow, the part in chapter 15 where Atticus, Scout, Jem, and Dill confront the gang was intense. Not to mention a bit confusing. I think that if Scout had known what was really going on, she might not have said/done what she said/did. That's one of the great things about little kids, sometimes they just don't quite get what is happening. My favorite part from this section is one of Scout's mishaps, "Don't you touch him!, I [scout] kicked the man swiftly. Barefooted, I was surprised to see him fall back in real pain. I intended to kick his shin, but aimed to high." I was reading this part on the way home in the car yesterday and laughed out loud. I have a little sister who is 8. Every time, Scout does something like this it reminds me of her. I told my sister that she reminded me of a little kid from my book and she punched me in the gut! Other similarities between Scout and my little sis' include their innocence. All Scout did was talk to Mr. Cunningham trying to act mature and it reminded him of his job as a parent. Funny how the smallest voice can make the biggest noise. Scout probably saved her dad and Tom a lot of pain.

Also could anyone explain to me what an entailment is?

She punched you in the gut?!?!?!?!!? Did she even know what the little girl was like? HAHA, that sounds a lot like what Scout would do. I love little kids. Your comment about how the smallest noises make the biggest noise is more than true. Little kids can make the biggest imact. All it takes is one little face, laugh, or word to send someone to the point of change. Little kids are so adorable!!!!! So, your sister is a little rascal who tries to hard?

My sis is a little rascal, but I love her with all my heart. There's a big age difference, but she practically my best friend.
