Invisible Man

"Invisible Man" is a novel about a black man in American during the early-mid 1900's. The narrator of the novel does not even reveal his name throughout the novel. The title of the novel is possibly the only way to name the narrator, "Invisible Man." At first, he accepts the way white society treat the narrator. However, his naivety to the poor treatment from others eventually goes away and realizes the truth, the stereotypes which are placed upon him. The novel guides the narrator through many different situations that all surround the fact that he is black. He is used and judged, but eventually realizes the truth. "Invisible Man" isn't my favorite read, because it isn't all that exciting, possibly because it's so long, but it's a good book. Also, many colleges recommend reading this book. If you won't mind reading a pretty thick novel, you should check out the "Invisible Man."

Great recommendation! It sounds like a good supplement to To Kill A Mockingbird!
