Romeo + Juliet

"Romeo + Juliet" is an odd movie version of "Romeo And Juliet." Both stories have much of the same content. In fact, the scripts are identical. There is only one difference, and it is a big difference. That difference is the visual aspect of Romeo + Juliet. Romeo + Juliet takes place in a metropolis. The story takes place during a more present day atmosphere, instead of the middle ages. Instead of castles, there are buildings, the opposing families assume the roles of rival gangs, and the weapons are modernized. It is really odd, yet the story still has the same impact. Basically, if you feel like listening to shakespearian poetry and see gang wars at the same time, this is your movie. Also, for some reason a lot of people just remember this version as the one with Leonardo DiCaprio.
